What began as a sole proprietorship in 2009 has grown into a full-service consultancy serving clients across North America. Originally founded by a high school entrepreneur with a vision for solving complex challenges, the ALEUS Technology Group spent over a decade building a reputation for practical, results-oriented solutions.
In 2024, we rebranded and incorporated as ALEUS Consulting Group, reflecting our growth and expanded capabilities. This transformation marked a new chapter in our journey—one focused on scaling our expertise to meet the needs of organizations across professional services, healthcare, energy and resources, financial services, and the public sector.

About Our Founder
Brennen Schmidt

Founder and Principal Consultant
Brennen Schmidt is passionate about helping organizations tackle complex challenges with practical and actionable solutions. From his early career in digital communications with the provincial government to his current role as an active board member and consultant, Brennen brings a broad range of experience across sectors – including professional services, healthcare, higher education, energy and resources, government, and private organizations. His dedication to purpose-driven leadership and achieving meaningful results has shaped ALEUS Consulting Group into a purpose-driven consultancy serving clients across North America.
During his time with a Big 4 consulting firm, Brennen played a key role in designing a U.S. state health information exchange portal. This transformative initiative impacted 4+ million health records and demonstrated his ability to align user-centric design with complex governance and technology requirements. His contributions to this project, along with his broader consulting work, earned him the ACC Award for excellence in consulting.
Brennen is co-author of Cyber City Safe: Emergency Planning Beyond the Maginot Line, a work that explores innovative approaches to cybersecurity and emergency planning. With expertise in leadership development, board governance, cybersecurity, and IT strategy, Brennen regularly advises boards and leadership teams on navigating complex decisions and driving strategic change. Over the years, he has provided expert commentary to provincial and national media across Canada including Global News, CTV News, and CBC News.
Leveraging experience in both public and private sectors, he is a skilled facilitator who delivers practical recommendations tailored to client needs and designed to address real-world challenges while supporting measurable outcomes. Outside of work, Brennen is an active volunteer in the community and has served more than a decade as a coach for the Hill JDC West Business Case team at the University of Regina.
